The game features Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Yokozuna, Bam Bam Bigelow, Razor Ramon, Lex Luger and Doink The Clown, with Vince Mcmahon and Jerry Lawlor on commentary. were over the hill and had started to push younger stars into the spotlight. It was around the time Vince believed Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage etc.
The roster at the time was, as the WWF themselves put it the New Generation and none of the characters from the previous two games are to be found in this one. I didn't play this in the arcade, but it was one of the first games I bought for my new PC waaay back in 1997 and so I played it to death at home! It has more of a fighting game vibe to it and moves are done via combinations, rather than straight up button presses as in the previous Wrestlefest and Superstars games. Produced by Midway and released in 1995, this one took advantage of motion capture to give the graphics a realistic (albeit pixellated by today's standards) appearance, like they had done previously with Mortal Kombat. The third in the trilogy of WWF arcade games.
